Admitted to the Georgia bar in 2006, Megan Haley entered private practice in 2009. Her practice is devoted to complex criminal defense as well as a wide breadth of complex civil litigation, including insurance coverage, construction law, products liability, intellectual property, and employment law matters.
Before associating with the Firm, Ms. Haley spent over two years practicing criminal defense as an Assistant Public Defender in the Western Judicial Circuit in Athens, Georgia. As a public defender, Ms. Haley represented criminal defendants from arraignment through appeal, and participated in over a dozen solo jury trials with a great rate of success.
Ms. Haley graduated cum laude from The University of Georgia School of Law where she served as a member of the editorial board and later as an Articles Editor on the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law.
Prior to law school, Ms. Haley earned a B.A. from Cornell University in 2003, graduating cum laude in English and with Distinction in All Subjects.
In addition to the many state and local bar associations that Ms. Haley belongs to, she is also on the board of directors for Project Safe, a nonprofit organization working to end domestic violence through crisis intervention and prevention.
